Polonius talk

При просмотре Гамлета в оригинале, были замечены некоторые введенные Шекспиром особенности разговора Полония, как-то:

I will be brief. (!) Your noble son is mad.
Mad call I it; for, to define true madness,
What is't but to be nothing else but mad?


или

That he is mad, 'tis true: 'tis true 'tis pity;
And pity 'tis 'tis true. 
[...]
And now remains
That we find out the cause of this effect-
Or rather say, the cause of this defect,
For this effect defective comes by cause.
Thus it remains, and the remainder thus. 


предлагаю назвать это "стилем Полония"  ; )


P.S.: сравните с Кэрроловским "If it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic."
