Sweet Tooth

The Wildgargoyles have a huge appetite for sweets. There are quite a few of them - scattered throughout the forests and mountains of Edarneor.
It is believed all of them were once created by Bellarorian stoneshapers of old, and every creature had started made entirely of mineral. As such, it is very sluggish and can hardly move at all.

Yet when the gargoyles eat, they gradually replace the stone within them with living matter. For this process they require tremendous amounts of calories, hence the addiction to sweets.
While still slow and rigid, mostly stone, they are unable to hunt, and therefore trick the local population into feeding them, children or simply the ignorant being the most susceptible. Little do villagers know it will eventually lead to their own demise, for a gargoyle that has completely supplanted stone with flesh is a quick, fearsome beast.

They say, the Supreme Vizier has a pet one, feeding it with humongous quantities of khulm. As to how this fancy will end for him, we can only speculate.
